Pepper began her acting career in 1931 as one of the Goldwyn Girls, and was a close friend and colleague of Lucille Ball. Pepper later appeared in various guest roles on Ball's hit series I Love Lucy. However, Pepper's most memorable TV role was as Doris Ziffel, Arnold the pig's pet parent on Green Acres, a role she played from 1965 until 1968. Pepper died one year after leaving Green Acres. ​

Remembering actor Sid Melton (birth name Sidney Meltzer), who was born May 22, 1917, in Brooklyn, New York. During Melton's six decade acting career, he appeared in numerous film and television roles, including guest turns on Petticoat Junction, Gomer Pyle, USMC, and I Dream of Jeannie. He also played Uncle Charlie Halper, the owner of the Copa Club, on The Danny Thomas Show and Alf Monroe, one of the perpetually inept carpentry duo of Alf and Ralph Monroe on Green Acres.

On May 18, 1990, the surviving Green Acres cast members reunited for a CBS made-for-television movie, Return to Green Acres, directed by former Bewitched producer William Asher.
